Original and delicious canapes with cheese and grapes - a light snack for buffets, parties, festive table and Sunday get-togethers with a glass of dry wine or as an aperitif before the main serving. In addition to the two essential and basic products, you will need aromatic spices, skewers and a little skill.

Ingredients:

Grapes - 150 g

Feta cheese - 150 g

Ground paprika - 2 tbsp l.

Dried basil - 2 tbsp l.

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To make your homemade cheese and grape canapés, take the foods listed. The bottom line is that grapes are planted with skewers on cheese cubes. If desired, the cheese can be hard, semi-hard, soft, including moldy, pickled varieties - in my recipe, tender feta and seedless grapes: raisins. This tasty, “safe” and universal aroma combination will please both children and adults.

Step 2 - Rinse the bunch of grapes thoroughly under a running stream of cold water. We tear off the grapes, without damaging the shell, from the branch, transfer them to a paper napkin that will absorb moisture. We immediately separate the illiquid, sluggish and rotten ones. Dry for a while.

Step 3 - At the same time, we take out the soft feta cheese from the brine, put it on a sheet of paper and cover it with another on top - we also remove the liquid from the surface. We proceed carefully so as not to crumble a rather pliable layer.

Step 4 - Cut into bars of the same thickness. Then we cut it transversely into cubes - we get the basis for our future canapes on skewers.

Step 5 - Leave one third of the cheese cubes intact, sprinkle the second third thickly with dry basil or another on each side your favorite herb, and the rest of the cheese blanks are breaded in ground paprika (plain or smoked with a more expressive smell). Shake off excess spices. Thus, from one type of cheese for canapes, we have three different colors.

Step 6 - Gently pierce the clean grapes along, move them higher on a skewer. Then we put it on the cheese cube, but not through and through, but so that the cheese remains stable and reliably holds the entire vertical.

Before serving, we keep cute canapes with cheese and grapes on skewers on the shelf of the refrigerator or immediately carry them to the table.
