If your household is fed up with standard first courses with meat broths, then it's time to change the menu. For example, to please and surprise your family by preparing a delicious sprat soup in tomato sauce. This dish belongs to light soups with a cheap production cost.
You do not have to fiddle with cutting fish, which will significantly reduce cooking time. Rice is used as a cereal; it is better than other cereals suitable for fish soup.
Sprat in tomato sauce is excellently combined with various products, so feel free to experiment in the future, coming up with your options for the first courses.
Ingredients:
Sprat in tomato - 1 can (250 gr.)
Potatoes - 3 pcs.
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Carrots - 1 pc.
Round rice - 150 gr.
Greens - 20 gr.
Water - 2 liters.
Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
Bay leaf - 1 pc.
Salt, pepper - to taste
How to cook:
1. Prepare the food you need. The taste of the final dish directly depends on the choice of canned food, so buy only a high-quality product.
2. Place a saucepan of a suitable size on the stove, pour in water. Peel the potato tubers, chop into small cubes. If you want, you can use another cutting method, for example, into strips.
3. Rinse the rice thoroughly, drain the turbid water several times, remove any debris.
4. When the water in the saucepan is boiling, season it with salt, toss in the bay leaf for flavor. Load the potato slices, once again bring the liquid to the boil, then add the prepared rice. Reduce the fire to the minimum, cover the container with a lid, leaving a gap for steam to escape.
5. Free the root vegetables from the top layer. Chop the onion into cubes, chop the carrots on a grater with large holes.
6. Heat the frying pan, pour in the oil, then send the carrot and onion slices to be sautéed. Keep vegetables over medium heat for the next 3 minutes, stirring occasionally with a spatula. The carrots should reach softness, the onions - transparency, while not overcooking.
7. When the potatoes and rice are cooked through, put the sautéed vegetable sauce and sprat in canned tomato sauce into a saucepan. Cook together for no more than 5 minutes.
8. Load the chopped greens at the same time. Taste the dish, throw in the missing spices if necessary.
9. Boil the soup, then set aside from the stove and let it brew for about 10 minutes. Then pour into plates.
