When planning to create a colorful dish for the holiday table, prepare a Christmas tree-shaped salad. It is ideal in that the base can be any: from crab sticks, Olivier, vinaigrette, etc. That is, you can your favorite salad veil and "hide" under a layer of greenery, and then colorfully decorate, so no one will guess what kind of dish looks like so delicious! Children are especially fond of such mysterious salads, but adults also do not stand aside and try the salad in the form of a Christmas tree as the first of the offered snacks!

To create it, you need at least 2 large bunches of dill greens - they will symbolize the Christmas tree needles. And think of the decoration of the Christmas tree yourself. For example, you can make garlands of sliced ​​carrots and mayonnaise, pomegranate, and other edible ingredients at hand.

Ingredients:

Crab sticks - 150 g

Fresh cucumber - 1 pc. (long)

Boiled chicken eggs - 3 pcs.

Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons

Salt and pepper to taste

Dill - 2 bunches

Pomegranate seeds and carrot shavings for decoration

Defrost the crab sticks in advance at room temperature for 20-30 minutes. Rinse the greenhouse cucumber thoroughly in water, washing off the thorns on its surface and dust, cut off the ends.

Since greenhouse vegetables are not bitter in taste, cut the cucumber into cubes immediately and pour the slices into a deep container. Salt and leave for 5 minutes, then drain off any liquid that has separated. If you skip this step, then the prepared salad can "float", ruining the whole visual effect!

Cut the crab sticks into small pieces and add to the container. It is permissible to replace such an ingredient with crab meat or boiled peeled shrimps.

Boil chicken eggs for 15 minutes in advance and cool in ice water for about the same amount of time so that they are ready to start creating the dish. Peel them and rinse under running water to avoid even small pieces. Cut into cubes and add to container.

Lay out the mayonnaise of your chosen fat content and taste, salt and pepper. For those who love light spicy flavors, we recommend adding chopped green or pickled onions to the salad. Mix all ingredients gently.
