As you know, poultry and meat, including offal, are combined not only with vegetables, root vegetables, but also with fruits and berries. For example, fried pork with apples in a pan or baked in the oven is a feast for the belly, does not need an additional side dish and reminds of winter holidays. It's easier and faster than stuffing a goose or duck, but no less delicious.
Ingredients:
Pork - 400 g
Apples - 2 pcs.
Garlic - 5 teeth.
Cranberries - 30 g
Vegetable oil - 30 ml
Salt, hot pepper - to taste
Greens - for serving
Step by step recipe:
Step 1 - To cook pork with apples at home, take the foods on the list. In addition to pork pulp, chicken breast or turkey fillet is suitable, as well as not too tough beef. If the meat is frozen, thaw it on the refrigerator shelf beforehand. Apples can be replaced or combined with quince, and instead of cranberries you can choose other sour berries (this step is arbitrary). For frying, use refined sunflower or corn oil.
Step 2 - Chop the pure pork pulp into cubes of approximately the same size. If necessary, cut off the tough film, excess fat additionally. For high-quality meat, we skip marinating, sharp spices, preserve the natural taste of pork and fruits.
Step 3 - Preheat the pan on the top heat, pour in the vegetable oil and after half a minute put the meat cuts into the already sizzling fat. We maintain a high temperature, sometimes shake the container or stir the pork with a spatula. First, evaporate all the resulting moisture. At this stage of the recipe, neither salt nor pepper.
Step 4 - After frying until light golden brown, add peeled whole or crushed (as you like) garlic cloves. Season with salt and black pepper. We fry the meat for another 3-4 minutes.
Step 5 - Peel the apples, remove the core. Shred into cubes, bars or rings (as in the photo). We load it to the almost finished meat. We move the apple pieces to the bottom, the meat - up, set the lid and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
Step 6 - For a fresh sourness and a bright accent, scatter the cranberries, warm up for a minute and remove from heat.
Decorate roasted pork with apples with fresh herbs and serve hot.
