This potato side dish is liked by everyone, without exception. Even if there is an abundance of delicious dishes on the festive table, it will still be eaten with great pleasure. So if you still have not decided on a hot side dish for the New Year, try cooking potatoes with cheese in the oven according to this recipe. It is very tasty, satisfying and high in calories. For a New Year's feast, which often ends in the early morning, this dish will be a real boon, especially for our "boys" with strong alcoholic drinks.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 1 kg

Onions - 150 g

Sour cream 20% - 200 g

Cream 10% - 150 g

Chicken egg - 1 pc.

Hard cheese - 200 g

Salt to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

How to cook:

Prepare foods from the list. Peel the potatoes, peel the onions. Wash everything under running water, dry.

I prefer to cut the potatoes into medium-thick strips, the finished dish looks prettier, but in my opinion. If you prefer slicing into thin round slices - feel free to slice so.

In a deep bowl, mix the sour cream and cream.

Add chicken egg, salt and pepper to taste, mix well again until smooth.

Grate the hard cheese of your favorite manufacturer on a coarse grater, add to the cream filling, mix it well for the last time.

Place the sliced ​​potatoes mixed with the onion sliced ​​in half rings in a ceramic baking dish. Season with salt and pepper. Now keep in mind that the taller the potatoes are, the longer they will cook.

Water the workpiece with the dressing prepared earlier, try to distribute it evenly around the entire perimeter. At this stage, I recommend covering the mold with cling foil and placing it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for at least an hour.

After a while, carefully open the container with potatoes, pierce it with a knife, if ready, then turn on the convection mode and brown the cheese until a beautiful color. And if the potatoes are damp, then again cover it with foil and send back to the oven and keep there until fully cooked.
