We all know and love cabbage-based vegetable salad. Most often we fill it with mayonnaise or Vinaigrette salad dressing.
In the American version of cabbage salad, ordinary kefir or sour cream sets the flavor. The dish turns out to be incredibly juicy and tasty. It can be wrapped in pita bread, supplemented with a piece of chicken, or added to a hamburger. Poppy seeds will add a special piquancy to the Cole Slow salad.

Ingredients:
White cabbage - 0.5 kg.
Carrots - 1 pc.
Kefir - 0.5 cups
Mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 0.5 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
Poppy - 1 tsp
Horseradish - 1 tsp
Honey - 1 tsp
Course of action:
Prepare the required foods. Instead of kefir, you can use sour cream or natural yogurt.
Chop the cabbage with a sharpened knife.
Grate the carrots on a special grater. I use this device to make Korean salads.
For dressing, mix kefir, horseradish, mayonnaise, soy sauce, salt, honey, lemon juice in a bowl. At the end, add the poppy seed and stir.
Mayonnaise adds thickness to the sauce, but you can do without it, use a light or homemade mayonnaise sauce.
Try the dressing to taste, you may need to add more honey or lemon juice. Do not add too much salt, as the soy sauce is quite salty. Instead of horseradish, you can put mustard.
Combine cabbage with carrots. Pour in the salad dressing and stir. You can additionally sprinkle the dish with poppy seeds.
Cole Slow cabbage salad is ready.
Serve garnished with chopped herbs.

This is the simplest version of Cole Slow that you can experiment with indefinitely. Apples, celery, red onions go well with cabbage. Instead of white cabbage, you can use Peking cabbage or red cabbage. It is allowed to fantasize with a dressing by adding sunflower or sesame seeds to it.
