And since I'm always interested in doing something new, I tried a couple of its variations and chose this combination for myself. I'll tell you about my impressions at the end, in the conclusions.

So, salad "Capercaillie's nest".

Technical issues and replacements

In principle, any components can be replaced here. Chicken fillet can be changed for both thighs and pork / beef. But still, the chicken, as for me, shows itself in the best way. I tried the smoked chicken fillet version of this salad and it tasted interesting too. So feel free to consider such a replacement.

In other variations I have come across olives and pickles. This is for a change.

conclusions

Here is such an unusual in appearance and familiar, in fact, the salad turned out in the end. I have met him more than once at festive tables, but I myself have not cooked until now. Yes, I agree, he looks interesting and unusual in the overall standings. It is different in texture and taste. There are actually three layers - balls, salad itself and potatoes. I don't understand a little about the combination of such a salad mixture with fried potato sticks, but this is just a matter of my vision. As I noticed, such a salad on the table disperses quickly enough. In my case, I ate the potatoes myself separately with beer.

As usual, I invite you to prepare and form your own opinion. Be sure to tell us what you ended up with, what were the replacements and general impressions.
