The dough for a jellied pie with chicken and potatoes is very simple to prepare, you can take your children or grandchildren as helpers. They will be very happy to help you mix something, and baked goods cooked together will be much tastier.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 400 gr.

Chicken fillet - 400 gr.

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Vegetable oil - 50 ml.

Wheat flour - 2 st.

Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.

Baking powder - 1 tsp

Kefir - 300 ml.

Butter - 150 gr.

Salt and spices to taste

We prepare products according to the list.

We start by making the dough: pour kefir into a bowl, break the eggs, salt, add baking powder (soda can be used) and mix. Let stand for 5 minutes.

Add melted, not hot butter (I melt in the microwave).

Mix in the sifted flour in parts. While stirring, we make sure that there are no dry lumps left. The dough turns out to be viscous, slightly thicker than rustic sour cream.

We prepare the filling for the jellied pie: fillet, rinsing and drying with a napkin, cut into pieces of the same size and thickness, you can use cubes or strips.

Peel and wash the potatoes. Shred into thin circles using a grater.

Put the potato slices in a deep bowl and pour boiling water over. Leave for 10 minutes, then drain the water, lightly squeeze the potato circles.

Processing this vegetable with boiling water makes the filling very tasty. The potatoes then simply melt in the mouth along with the juicy filling and tender dough.

Next, fry the onion until transparent.

Cover the baking dish with parchment or foil. Pour out a little less than half of the dough and spread with a spoon. The size of my form is 20 * 35 cm.

Then we put the chicken pieces.

Put potatoes and onions on top. Pour the oil on which the onions were fried. Sprinkle with spices and salt to taste.

Pour the remaining dough next, level it so that it completely covers the filling.

We bake at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes in a preheated oven until golden brown.

Let the finished chicken and potato pie cool slightly before serving. You can serve it with any soup or broth, or just to tea as a snack.
