Sea buckthorn - 500 gr.
Sugar - 500 gr.
Step by step recipe:
Get everything you need ready. Use only high quality berries, no damage. Storage container volume - 500 ml.
Sort out the sea buckthorn, removing the twigs and leaves. Rinse it several times with water so that all debris floats to the surface, remove it with a slotted spoon.
Dry the berries a little on a towel, then transfer them to a tall glass.
Squeeze with a crush or beat with a blender at low speeds. You do not need to interrupt in mashed potatoes.
Add sugar to the sea buckthorn. Grind the mixture with granulated sugar with a spoon for 5 minutes, until all the grains melt.
Let the resulting mass stand for 5 minutes.
Spread the mixture into sterile jars, leaving some empty space on top. At the end, fill the mass with sugar to form a dense sugar cork, which will protect the sea buckthorn from the penetration of microbes. Thanks to such a plug, the workpiece costs a long time without problems.
Tighten the jar with a sterile lid, send it to a cool place, such as a cellar.
