There are a huge number of varieties of apple pies, but every housewife, of course, has her own favorite recipe. I will also share with you mine, which I have been using for a long time and it has never let me down. Each time the cake turns out to be fluffy, tender and airy. Affordable ingredients and easy preparation! Save the recipe to your piggy bank.

Ingredients:

  • Apples - 700 g
  • Wheat flour - 3 stack.
  • Yogurt - 500 ml.
  • Chicken egg - 2 pcs.
  • Sugar - 150 g
  • Starch - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter - 70 g
  • Vegetable oil - 50 ml

Prepare all the food you need. Sour apples are best for apple pies, because the dough already contains a sufficient amount of sugar. Ideal will be: Antonovka, Bogatyr or Granny Smith.

Wheat flour - 1st grade. I try not to use premium flour, because it is usually bleached in bakeries with chlorine.

Any starch is suitable: both corn and potato.

Eggs are best taken large, it is not bad if they are homemade.

Any yogurt for the pie is suitable: both natural and fruit. But keep in mind that the flavored product will give the finished charlotte a subtle flavor of its own.

I also want to note that when kneading the dough, it is necessary to observe the rule of the same temperature regime for all ingredients. This means you have to get butter and eggs out of the refrigerator in advance.

Let's start making the dough. There will be a lot of it, so you need a large enough glass or ceramic dish. Whisk eggs and sugar until well. To do this, you will have to use a mixer with a whisk attachment; it is unlikely that you will be able to beat the mass well by hand.

Add soft butter to the dough and beat well again. We don't need a mixer anymore, so you can remove it, and you can use a regular fork to mix the ingredients.

Pour in the yogurt. It doesn't matter if you don't have one in stock. In this case, any fermented milk product is suitable: kefir, fermented baked milk.

Sift flour. I recommend not to be lazy and not to neglect this process - in this case, the baking will turn out to be more airy and tender.

It's time to add baking powder. Some housewives are not very fond of this additive and use soda the old fashioned way. You can do this, but in this case it will have to be added directly to the "acidic" environment, ie. into yogurt, or quench it with vinegar.

Stir the dough until smooth, making sure that there are no lumps of flour. In consistency, it will turn out to be similar to medium fat sour cream.

Now it's the apples. Wash the fruit well, remove the seed capsule and cut into thin slices.

Whether or not to peel apples is up to you. But nevertheless, if they are store-bought, non-seasonal, then, most likely, they are covered with paraffin and in this case it is better to cut the skin off.

Sprinkle the sliced ​​fruit with starch, stir and let stand for 5 minutes.

If you are a fan of spicy, aromatic pastries, then just at this stage you can add your favorite spices and flavorings. Not only cinnamon and vanilla, but also cloves, ginger, and nutmeg are very appropriate in apple pie.

Grease a heat-resistant form with oil, pour in half the dough.

Then lay out all the apples.

Add the remaining dough and smooth the surface. You can do it even easier: mix the dough with apples and immediately fill the mold with the resulting mass.

Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 35-40 minutes.

Charlotte on yogurt with apples is good both hot and cold. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, chilled - the pie goes well with a cup tea and coffee, or even with a mug of milk.
