Minced meat sauce for pasta

When planning to boil pasta, prepare gravy for them in advance! It is especially tasty from three ingredients: minced meat, carrots and onions.

You can add tomatoes or tomato paste to the dish or not - be guided by your taste, as many do not like juice or puree from them. Choose the spices that you prefer: salt and ground black pepper, paprika or turmeric, seasoning for main courses, oregano or ground dried garlic.

You can even freeze ready-made gravy by refrigerating it in containers. And when there is no free time, you just need to cook pasta and add frozen gravy to them, warm up for a couple of minutes and, voila, a delicious and juicy lunch or dinner is ready in 10 minutes!

Ingredients:

- 300 g minced meat;

- 1 onion;

- 1 carrot;

- 3 tomatoes;

- 30 ml of vegetable oil;

- salt and ground black pepper to taste;

- 1 tbsp. hot water.

Preparation:

1. Peel and rinse onions or shallots in water. Cut in half and cut into small cubes. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan by placing it on the stove and turning on medium heat. Pour in the onion slices and fry for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally so that it does not burn. It is imperative to fry the onion first, and then the minced meat, since the meat secretes juice and the onion slices added after it will become soft, not fried!

2. Place the minced meat in the pan as soon as the onion is browned. Stir thoroughly with a silicone or wooden spatula to cook the meat evenly for 5-7 minutes.

3. While the minced meat is fried, peel, rinse and grate the carrots with fine holes. You can use frozen shredded vegetable. Stir gently and simmer for another 2 minutes. Do not worry, the onion will not burn during this time, as the meat will exude juice.

4. Rinse tomatoes and grate with fine cells. Add the resulting puree to the pan to the rest of the ingredients. Optionally, you can replace it with tomato paste or ground paprika if you like the color of the gravy.

5. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Pour in hot water and stir.

6. Simmer the gravy for about 5-10 minutes until the desired thickness. Along the way, boil the pasta according to the instructions on the package, put it in a colander and rinse.

7. Place the pasta on plates and top with the minced meat gravy. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs.

You can complement the dish with sour cream or thick classic yogurt.
