Before baking, it is advisable to marinate the chicken carcass: leave it in honey sauce for an hour or even longer in the refrigerator. The meat will absorb aromas, sweetish moisture and then surprise with juiciness, tenderness and excellent taste.

If you are in a hurry, bake the chicken in honey sauce not whole, but cutting it into portions and better under a lid in a thick-walled cauldron, it will take less time.

Ingredients:

Chicken - 1.5 kg

Garlic - 1 pc.

Lemon - 1 pc.

Honey - 100 g

Vegetable oil - 30 ml

Salt, dried rosemary, black pepper - to taste

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To cook the chicken in honey sauce in the oven, take the food listed. Frozen poultry should first be thawed on a refrigerator shelf or in a microwave oven. The main aromas in this recipe are honey, garlic, peppery, lemon and spicy from rosemary with a pine chill. Both a branch or two of fresh vegetation and dry rosemary needles are suitable.

Step 2 - Wash the chicken carcass under cold water, including the inner cavity. Rinse and wipe dry with a paper / cloth napkin. It is easier to rub ground spices, oil, sauces into the dry surface of the bird. Sprinkle clean chicken generously with a mixture of salt and hot pepper - rub inside and out. We keep it in the cold for half an hour.

Step 3 - For the marinade sauce, shake up natural honey, the juice of half a lemon, lean (or melted butter) butter, throw in a pinch of dry rosemary or other fragrant herb. Dense, crystallized honey, if necessary, can be dissolved in a water bath or in the microwave.

Step 4 - Pour the carcass already soaked in salt and pepper with about half of the honey sauce: top and inside. We also rub it over the entire surface and return the chicken to the refrigerator for the next 30-60 minutes (if time permits, for 3-4 hours).

Step 5 - Stuff the chicken with garlic and lemon before going to the oven. Cut the garlic head in half and add the remaining half of the citrus. Cover with foil (loosely, without pressing against the chicken) and put in a hot oven. We bake at 180 degrees for about 60 minutes. For the last 10 minutes, char the crust by removing the foil sheet.

Step 6 - Serve chicken baked in honey sauce with vegetables, herbs, any side dish.
