Thin Armenian lavash is very easy and quick to cook on your own at home. At the same time, it will turn out not worse than the purchased one, and maybe even better. The dough is kneaded from a minimum set of the simplest products that are easy to find in the kitchen of every housewife. It turns out to be soft and pliable, it is very easy to work with it. Such dough can be rolled out into thin pieces without any problems. Homemade lavash will perfectly complement any dish at a family dinner.

Ingredients:

  • Flour - 180 gr.
  • Boiling water - 100 ml.
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 tsp
Step 1 of 12

Prepare foods from the list.

Step 2 of 12

Sift the flour through a sieve before kneading the dough to remove impurities and saturate it with oxygen.

Step 3 of 12

Add salt to the flour, mix thoroughly.

Step 4 of 12

Make a depression in the middle of the mixture, pour in vegetable oil.

Step 5 of 12

Boil water at the same time. Stir the mixture often, pouring in boiling water in a thin stream.

Step 6 of 12

Mix the mass with a spoon. When it becomes difficult to stir, continue kneading with your hands. You should have a thick, elastic and soft dough that won't stick to your palms. Wrap the dough with cling film, leave on the table for 30 minutes.

Step 7 of 12

Then divide it into pieces of the same size (about 6 pieces), roll the balls.

Step 8 of 12

Pour flour on a work board, roll a ball on it with a rolling pin into a very thin layer.

Step 9 of 12

Do this with all copies. The workpieces should be thin and flexible, not sticking to each other.

Step 10 of 12

Heat a dry skillet over medium heat, place a thin sheet of dough. When swollen areas appear on its surface, turn over to the other side. Fry the products alternately until golden brown.

After frying, trim off any uneven edges. Armenian lavash remains soft even after cooling.

Step 12 of 12
