Friends, hello everyone!
We are moving in small steps towards our big goal - a culinary portal and Zen channel number 1 in Runet.
And one of these steps was the registration of the Vilkin trademark. And we did it! 🍾
You can congratulate us.
Registration took place in the following list of classes according to MKTU: 35, 39, 41, 43.
About 1.5 years of time and 70 thousand rubles were spent on this whole event. We have outsourced all this work to a company that deals with turnkey registration.
We did this in order to protect the rights to the content that we produce.
And now we do a lot of content - we prepare and publish 150 recipes a month.
And our content costs some money, because this is not a rewrite of articles from the Internet with stolen photos.
For each recipe you need:
- buy products;
- prepare a dish and take beautiful photos;
- process photos, write interesting text;
- publish on the website and in the zen channel.

All this is not cheap, and as we all know, the Internet is very fond of stealing pictures, covering up watermarks and making money with our content without paying a penny.
In order to protect against such freeloaders, we carried out this registration procedure, as well as made and sent to each author branded tableware.
Now, when we see that some site / zen channel has "borrowed" our photos, we just send a friendly (but competently composed) letter to the owner that you need to either remove our pictures, or put an active link. And we clarify that we would like to resolve everything peacefully, without bringing it to court.
But we have no goals to sue and make money on this (and this is possible, we are legally prepared) - usually everything goes on peacefully, site owners willingly go to a meeting.
Another advantage of the trademark: we seem to be making a statement that we have come into this niche seriously and for a long time. And we are ready to make quality content and spend money on it.
Well, we are waiting for the corresponding ratings from our readers, from search engines, from the Yandex Zen recommendation system :)
And we get it.
And if you look at the general picture of our expenses (I will tell you in detail how much we spend in the following articles), then the budget for registering a trademark is not that great.
