Fried pasta with onions

For some reason, I always believed that the recipe for fried pasta came exclusively from childhood, then they cooked them only when the refrigerator was completely empty, and there was still long away. Imagine my surprise when, with the development of the Internet, I learned that a similar dish exists in the cuisines of different nationalities. Of course, everyone has their own additives, spices and condiments. Somewhere pasta is fried dry in a pan, somewhere pre-cooked products are fried. Today we will cook them according to my mother's recipe. It's very simple, delicious and satisfying.

Ingredients:

Pasta - 150 g

Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.

Onions - 50 g

Salt to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

Preparation:

1. Pasta for this recipe is suitable for absolutely any kind - feathers, springs, butterflies, noodles, tagliatelle, even spaghetti is possible.

2. So, we prepare all the products according to the list. We clean the onion from the husk, wash it under running water, be sure to dry it with napkins.

3. Take a saucepan or a small saucepan, pour half a liter of water into it, salt, put on high heat, bring to a boil. When it boils, add the pasta and cook according to the instructions, in my case it was 10 minutes.

4. While the pasta is boiling, heat refined odorless vegetable oil in a frying pan, put onion chopped in half rings into it. Fry it over medium heat until soft and sweet.

5. When the pasta is boiled, drain the water, rinse it slightly under running water, fold it in a colander so that all the liquid is gone.

6. Transfer the pasta to a skillet with butter and lightly fried onions and cook for 3-5 minutes, until desired. Personally, I like it when they get a slightly crispy crust on the outside, while remaining completely soft on the inside. Season the prepared dish with salt and pepper to taste.

7. You can serve fried pasta with onions in the same pan in which they were cooked.

As a quick, tasty and satisfying side dish, in my opinion, this dish is perfect. Salads made from fresh vegetables or homemade pickles go well with such a dish.
