I propose a simplified recipe based on the French Nicoise - salad with tuna and tomatoes. It is prepared for one or two and is eaten just as quickly, and it saturates it to its fullest, energizes and does not leave a feeling of heaviness.
Ingredients:
Tuna (canned) - 180 g
Tomatoes - 2 pcs.
Arugula - 70 g
Egg - 1 pc.
Garlic - 1 tooth
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp l.
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l.
Salt, hot pepper - to taste
Step by step recipe:
To make a salad with canned tuna and tomatoes at home, take the foods on the list. Arugula, any salad varieties, a mixture of several varieties are suitable for the base. The more vegetation, the better - the mix should be fresh, shading fish meat.
The tuna can be in oil or only sterilized. For the first type in the dressing itself, vegetable oil is better to exclude or reduce the dosage. But in any case, canned tuna is meaty, juicy and appetizing. Replacing sardines, saury or other fish will give you a different result.
We wash the arugula leaves under cold water and, transferring them to a spacious napkin / towel, dry them. Since this green in itself has an expressive mustard harshness, pungency, a minimum of spices are required in the salad sauce. After drying, put clean arugula on the bottom of the salad bowl.
Ripe tomatoes (pink or other varieties) chop not too thin slices. Be sure to cut out the growth sites of the stalks.
Small tomatoes such as cherry tomatoes are also good. Divide these in half or quarters. Add tomato slices to greens.
In parallel, hard-boiled, cooled and peeled egg, cut into circles (slices) or cut into smaller pieces. We take out the tuna from the liquid in which it was located (you can first transfer it to paper, remove excess moisture). We place the fish fillet in the center of the salad, and also randomly scatter egg circles over the entire area.
For dressing, lightly shake the vegetable / olive oil, lemon juice, salt, ground black pepper and chopped garlic clove. We spray the dish. Shuffle all the layers or serve the dressing nearby.
A simple salad with canned tuna, egg, tomatoes and arugula is served without delay, replacing a light lunch or dinner.
