For a festive menu and a daily snack, we prepare a relatively budgetary, at the same time very tasty canned sardine salad. Serve in small tartlets (small baskets) in small portions, on slices of fresh bread, crackers, toasted toast, in a shared salad bowl, or tamped inside a forming ring.

Ingredients:

Sardine in oil - 230 g

White rice - 100 g

Fresh cucumbers - 2 pcs.

Egg - 1 pc.

Bulb onions - 0.5 pcs.

Green onion - 2 feathers

Mayonnaise - 50 g

Salt, black pepper - to taste

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - For homemade canned sardine salad with egg and rice, take the foods listed. The fish is in oil. The more it is in the dish, the tastier and richer the fishy aroma, therefore, for the sake of more output, you should not "hammer" with rice or eggs. Leave the main flavor behind the sardine. If you first boil and cool rice cereals and hard-boiled eggs, then it will take time to cut and assemble the snack about 10 minutes - since the dish contains no boiled vegetables (such as potatoes, carrots), long-term impregnation is not needed. Tucked in and immediately on the table. I will say that, in addition to canned sardines, any fish in oil (canned) is suitable for such a salad: saury, pink salmon, sardinella, etc.

Step 2 - Having opened the jar, transfer the pieces of soft, steamed fish together with the bones into a convenient container and easily knead with a fork until a granular mass is formed.

Step 3 - Add pre-cooked, washed, dried from moisture and chilled white rice. Do not get carried away with its amount, fish salad is not porridge.

Step 4 - For freshness and pungency, chop about half a large onion and a couple of green onion feathers. There are no exact fish-onion proportions, it all depends on your personal preferences. For snacks that are vigorous in sharpness, put more onions. For those who choose the less spicy option, chopped onions are dipped in water for a while, thereby reducing the degree of harshness.

Step 5 - Chop-chop a cold egg (hard-boiled) in an arbitrary way. Cut the aromatic cucumbers into medium-sized cubes. Mix for the first time.

Step 6 - Season with mayonnaise, salt and ground hot pepper. Mix again, try, adjust the dosage of spices. We shift the viscous mixture into a clean bowl or collect sandwiches, snacks in "baskets".

Serve canned sardine salad, for example, with white bread and herbs.
