A refreshing lemonade with mint lemons can be made in minutes to treat all your family and friends, especially on hot summer days. The drink requires a minimum of ingredients and a few minutes of your free time.
Ingredients:
Lemon - 3 pcs.
Sugar - 100 g
Mint - 6 stems
Ice - 6 cubes
Water - 1.5 l
Preparation:
1. Prepare the food you need. Choose lemons fresh and mouth-watering, with a pronounced citrus aroma, do not hesitate to smell them while shopping. It is permissible to replace ordinary mint with lemon balm or mint sugar, mint syrup.
2. Water can be either filtered from the tap, or mineral water with or without gas, but always cooled. Optionally, use Sprite, 7up, or another sweet soda to reduce the amount of sugar in the lemonade.
3. Roll the two lemons firmly on the table to release the juice inside. Then cut in half over the container and press, squeezing out the juice. Remove the peel or grate with fine cells, not reaching the bitter white layer.
4. Pour boiling water over the third lemon and cut in half, remove all seeds. Cut into portions or cubes, wedges as desired. Put in a deep jug or three-liter jar, another container in which you are going to prepare the drink.
5. Rinse the mint stems, send to the jar. You can chop or grind this plant for more flavor.
6. Add granulated sugar. It is permissible to replace it with honey of any kind, if you are not allergic to such a sweet product. Remove the ice from the freezer and put it in a jar. Remember that the drink will need to be served immediately.
7. Pour in the squeezed lemon juice and water. Stir everything gently with a long spoon to dissolve the sugar in the liquid. Taste and tweak with sugar if required. Cover the container with a lid to keep the drink ice cold for longer.
8. Cut lemon into slices and decorate glasses / cups, then pour homemade lemonade into them and serve.
Treat all your relatives and prepare another drink if this one ends, because you already know how to make lemonade from lemons and mint at home! By the way, it can be prepared in advance, just without adding ice at once, and kept in the cold. Then it will be possible to serve a tonic drink at the appointed time, pouring ice directly into the guests' glasses.
