If you need to cook a delicious, hearty dish, and even the simplest products for a family lunch or dinner, then stewed potatoes with minced meat in a frying pan is ideal. In this case, you will not need to stand at the stove for a long time, you just need to fry vegetables with minced meat a few minutes, and then you can do your household chores - the potatoes will calmly stew on quiet fire. For convenience, I set a timer on the oven, which informs me about the readiness of the dish. Try it too, because it is not only tasty, it is also very convenient.

Ingredients:

Minced meat - 200 g

Potatoes - 350 g

Bulb onions - 0.5 pcs.

Carrots - 40 g

Garlic - 1 clove

Salt to taste

Ch.m. pepper - taste

Dill - 5 branches

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Tomato sauce - 1 tbsp

Preparation:

1. Prepare foods from the list. You can wind the minced meat yourself, or you can buy a ready-made one if you are sure of the manufacturer. However, do not forget that good minced meat cannot be cheaper than the meat from which it is prepared. Peel potatoes and carrots, peel onions and garlic from the husks. Wash vegetables under running water and dry.

2. Heat refined vegetable oil in a frying pan, put onions chopped into small cubes, fry for a few minutes. When soft and sweet, add the thinly sliced ​​carrots. Cook vegetables over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.

3. Now you need to add the minced meat to the pan. Divide it into small pieces with a wooden spatula and fry for a few minutes on both sides until golden brown.

4. Cut the potatoes into convenient slices (I like quarters more), send them to the vegetables and minced meat, stir.

5. Next, pour in just enough water so that it slightly covers the potatoes. Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper to taste. You can add your favorite spices. I recommend: bay leaf, a pinch of cumin, a mixture of dry Italian or Provencal herbs. Cover the pan with a lid and cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes, until the potatoes are fully cooked.

6. During this time, some of the water will boil away and a moderately thick and tasty gravy will remain in the pan. Now add the minced garlic clove and the chopped herbs. Gently stir the dish one last time so as not to break the potato slices, and hold on a low heat for another minute.

Before serving, catch and discard the garlic, put the stewed potatoes with minced meat in a deep bowl. Very satisfying, simple and tasty.
