I suggest you cook an incomparably delicious shawarma with chicken in pita bread. The recipe is very simple and quick, everyone will like it. By the way, it refers to the food options, therefore, if you adhere to a diet or just follow the diet, you can easily afford such a shawarma.
The number and variety of vegetables can vary depending on your preference. Chicken fillet can be replaced with any part of chicken, even smoked breast will do.
You can serve such shawarma to the table as lunch or a snack. It will perfectly complement such drinks as tea, coffee.
Ingredients:
- Chicken fillet - 150 g
- Lavash - 1 pc.
- Peking cabbage - 80 g
- Carrots - 60 g
- Fresh cucumbers - 1 pc.
- Salt, pepper - to taste
- Yogurt - 1 tablespoon
- Ketchup - 1 tablespoon
- Dry garlic - to taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
Prepare everything according to the list. Choose thin Armenian lavash. Add herbs, spices or other vegetables to the list if desired.
Rinse and dry the chicken fillet, cut into two parts. Cover it with cling film, then beat off a little with a kitchen hammer. Spice up the chicken. Marinate for 10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, combine Chinese cabbage and carrots, cut into thin strips.
Rinse fresh cucumber, cut into strips, add to the container. Stir the vegetables, salt.
Heat the pan well, grease with oil. Fry the chicken on both sides until tender, until golden brown.
Spread the lavash on the work surface, then put the vegetables.
Lay the chicken cut into pieces on top of them.
Add yogurt, some ketchup or sauce here. Sprinkle lightly with dry garlic.
Roll up the shawarma.
If desired, fry the shawarma blank.
Serve immediately.
