If you want soft and fluffy donuts, cook them with sour cream. The recipe is pretty simple. The dough is kneaded for no more than 10 minutes. It turns out to be very pliable, does not stick to hands, and is easy to work with. Donuts are fried in a lot of oil. Thanks to soda, they increase in size, come out very lush. Donuts on sour cream after frying remain soft and fresh for a long time, it is enough to cover them with a napkin.

Ingredients:

  • Sour cream - 200 gr.
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Flour - 350 gr.
  • Sugar - 100 gr.
  • Soda - 0.5 tsp.
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Vegetable oil - 200 ml.
  • Powdered sugar - 1 tablespoon

Prepare food.

Pour sour cream into a deep container, add one egg to it.

Add granulated sugar, some salt and baking soda. The latter does not need to be quenched with acid.

Thoroughly chop the ingredients with a whisk or fork, getting a homogeneous mass without lumps.

Sift wheat flour through a sieve before use, then add to the main composition.

Knead into a thick, soft dough that won't stick to your palms. Cover it with a towel and let it "rest" for 15 minutes to allow the baking soda to react with the ingredients.

Divide the main piece of dough into several parts. Sprinkle the board with flour. Lay out one part of the dough, roll out with a rolling pin. The layer should be of medium thickness. Using a round mold or glass, squeeze out round blanks, make a small round hole in the middle. So use up all the dough.

Place a container with a lot of oil on the fire in parallel. Heat it well, but don't boil it. Put the donut blanks in hot oil. Bookmark in small portions to prevent sticking. Fry the donuts over medium heat for literally 1 minute on each side. During frying, they will rise well thanks to the soda.

Use a slotted spoon to remove the brown donuts from the oil. Place on a napkin to remove the grease.

Rub the donuts with powdered sugar before serving.
