Most often, French hot dogs are sold in cafes at gas stations, so if you like long trips by car, you probably bought this fast food at least once during a stop at refueling. The main secret of this dish lies in a high-quality, aromatic and very tasty sausage, so never save money if you want to get a decent result. Today we will cook this favorite fast food at home.
Ingredients:
- White rolls - 4 pcs.
- Vienna sausages - 4 pcs.
- Ketchup - 8 tsp
- Mustard - 4 tsp
Prepare all the necessary foods according to the list. Rolls, of course, we will use special, with a deep hole in the middle in full length for a sausage. They are generally sold in all major food supermarkets in the freezer section. After freezing, such rolls do not lose their shape, softness and do not get wet. Defrost them well in advance as they cannot be used frozen.
Remove the Vienna sausages from the vacuum packaging, drain the liquid. Place them on paper towels to remove any remaining marinade.
Preheat a grill pan, place the sausages on it. Fry on all sides until light tan. Do not be afraid, high-quality Viennese sausages will never burst in a pan, but you should not overexpose either, you just need to warm them up well.
Now pour your favorite ketchup and mustard into the hole of each bun. The latter can be used both spicy and sweet - whichever you like best.
Stick hot sausages into the rolls.
And also send to the hot grill pan until light tan marks, but now on the buns. Make sure not to overdry bread products, we don't need crackers or croutons either.
When serving, pour a little more ketchup over the sausages and invite your family for a snack.
You can serve French hot dogs with any drink. Tea, coffee, juices, cola - everything will do.
