Stewed cabbage with sausage is one of the most budgetary and delicious dishes that will appeal to all food lovers. It is very easy to cook, there are no special nuances here, the main thing is to choose delicious and high-quality sausage. By the way, you can use both smoked and boiled.
Among other things, add a little carrots and onions, a couple of cloves of garlic. If you add tomato to your cabbage, you can include it in this recipe too.
Serve stewed cabbage to the table as an independent side dish with fresh bread. But it is also possible in addition to rice or mashed potatoes, homemade pickles are a good diversification of the dish.
Ingredients:
White cabbage - 300 g
Sausage - 250 g
Carrots - 1 pc.
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Garlic - 1 clove
Salt, pepper - to taste
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
Description of the cooking process:
1. Prepare all the required ingredients according to the list.
2. Choose medium-sized carrots and onions - wash and dry the vegetables. Cut into arbitrary pieces - carrots can be in plates, onions can be cut into medium-sized cubes.
3. Prepare white cabbage forks - remove the top leaves, remove them. Chop not very wide strips. Since our version uses young white cabbage, the cooking time will be much shorter than we would have prepared from an old vegetable.
4. Prepare a frying pan - heat a few tablespoons of vegetable oil in it. Transfer the sliced carrots, onions and cabbage to it. Simmer the vegetables slightly, then slightly increase the heat and fry the cabbage. Cover the pan with a lid, simmer for 7-10 minutes.
5. Cut the sausage into oblong strips or cubes (I have it boiled-smoked "Balykovaya").
6. Transfer the sausage slices to the pan, mix everything, add finely chopped garlic. Cook for another 7-10 minutes, do not forget to season the dish with salt and ground black pepper, if you wish, you can add other spices or add a little tomato.
7. That's all. Take a sample and adjust the taste, then put the cabbage with sausage on portioned plates and serve.
