Caesar salad with shrimps

Hello honest people. As a variety of the famous Caesar salad, I propose to recall the version of its preparation with shrimps, since it has its own unique taste. It's bright, crisp, and that aroma of toasted shrimp and garlic that drives me crazy ...

Today I will share my homemade take on Shrimp Caesar Salad.

Ingredients:

Fresh chicken egg - 1pc

Olive oil - 4 tablespoons

Lemon juice - 1 tsp

Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp

Shrimps - 200g

Cherry tomatoes - 200g

Romaine lettuce (Romano) - half head

Salad mix - handful

White bread - 200g

Parmesan - 2 tablespoons

Garlic -2 cloves

Salt and pepper - to taste

How to cook:

Step 1 of 16

Prepare food. Remove the shrimp and egg from the refrigerator in advance, clean and, if necessary, remove the intestinal vein. Rinse the whole salad under cold water and dry.

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and reduce heat so that it does not boil. Place the egg and cook for 2 minutes. Then immediately take out and cool under cold water. And when it cools down, separate the yolk (no protein is needed).

In a bowl or jar, mix the yolk, 2 tbsp. olive oil, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. This can be done with a whisk or fork.

Or you can simply pour into a small jar, close the lid tightly and shake vigorously.

Cut the bread into small cubes, after removing the crust. Most of all I like for these purposes ciabatta, fortunately, it can be found often in bakeries. It is textured and makes croutons airy and crispy. A baguette is also a good fit.

Add 1 tablespoon to the peeled shrimp. butter, 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped. Season with salt and pepper and stir. Set aside.

Grate Parmesan on a fine, "torn" grater.

Heat the last 1 tbsp. butter in a frying pan and literally heat a crushed clove of garlic in it for a minute.

Step 9 of 16

Remove the garlic, and instead pour in the bread and, periodically shaking the pan, fry it until crispy, but so that the center remains slightly soft.

Cut the cherry into 2 or 4 pieces, depending on size and personal preference.

Fry the shrimps in the oil in which they were marinated, literally a minute or two on each side.

Tear a salad leaf coarsely onto a plate and sprinkle with half the parmesan.

Scatter cherry and shrimp chaotically on top. Supplement the structure with crackers and pour over the sauce.

Finish with the remaining Parmesan. If the salinity of the cheese is not enough, you can even out everything with salt and pepper.

Home-made Caesar salad with shrimp and croutons is ready to serve.

Conclusions: such a bright and light salad in a piggy bank. It is good for everything, from flavor and aroma to crisp texture and color. The only negative is its quick "liquidation".

You can diversify "Caesar" with shrimps with salad dressing with the addition of sweet mustard, capers and anchovies. Sometimes, according to my mood, I put an iceberg in such a salad - it is voluminous and crunchy. In general, experiment, there is room for imagination.
