Chicken liver with apples

I propose a recipe for chicken liver fried with onions and apples. The dish is not entirely familiar, but very tasty, light, with a fruity note. Lovers of exotic meat with added fruit will especially like it. Although there is nothing unusual in the recipe - the usual chicken liver, ordinary apples. But the overall result will make you remember the recipe again and again!

It is better to take apples of hard varieties so that they do not lose their shape during frying and stewing. Do not fry the liver for a long time, otherwise it will become tough.

Of the spices, cinnamon will be good - ground or just with a stick. If you love it, be sure to add it.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken liver - 300 g
  • Apples - 100 g
  • Purple onion - 50 g
  • Ghee butter - 50 ml
  • Salt - 10 g
  • Ground paprika - 3 g

Step by step recipe:

Prepare the required ingredients.

Take an ordinary onion, but you can also use purple, like mine. Cut it into petals. Peel the apples and seed pods, cut into slices from 0.7-0.5 cm along the edge.

Rinse the chicken liver, cut the ducts if available. Dry with a kitchen napkin and cut each piece in half.

Heat the ghee in a skillet and add the liver. Fry it quickly on one side.

Flip to the other side and brown lightly too.

Add salt and cinnamon (if desired).

Put the onion slices in the pan as well. Stir and cover slightly to steam the liver inside.

Transfer the contents of the skillet to a separate saucepan.

In the same pan, add a little oil, fry the apples on one side.

Turn the wedges over and fry them on the other side. Then sprinkle with ground paprika for brightness and appetizing.

You can add the fried liver again to the pan and mix everything. Or you can serve it separately.

Place the liver fried with onions on a flat dish and garnish with slices of bright fruit.

Serve apple and chicken liver as a main lunch or holiday dish, garnished with sprigs of herbs.
