We are used to heating ready-made food in the microwave - it is very quick and convenient, especially in the morning, when there is not enough time. But not everyone knows that there are foods that become dangerous when heated with a microwave oven. And this is due not only to the fact that they will lose their properties - some of them simply explode inside the microwave.

We have compiled a list of 5 foods that, when heated, under the influence of high temperatures, explode and can be harmful.

Chilli

This is a hot product loved by many, which is added to various dishes. But it is undesirable to heat it up in the microwave, because it explodes when exposed to high temperatures. But this is not the whole danger. In this case, the pepper emits stinging vapors, which, if inhaled, can lead to burns of the cornea of ​​the eyes, respiratory tract, and mucous membranes.

Therefore, it is recommended that dishes containing chili peppers be reheated either in a saucepan or in a pan.

Eggs

Surely many have tried to reheat eggs in the microwave. However, a crude product will simply explode in 90% of cases. In addition, it is not recommended to reheat even boiled eggs - in this case, the product loses its useful qualities, you should not eat it.

The main advantage of fruits and berries is that even after freezing, they retain useful properties and vitamins. But if you decide to defrost them in the microwave, this is a bad idea. And there are several explanations for this. First of all, in such products, if they are heated, carcinogenic substances begin to accumulate, which is very dangerous for the body.

The second reason is that they can explode, because when heated, moisture quickly evaporates from the product.

If you want to preserve the benefits of berries and fruits, do not heat the frozen food in the microwave - just take out from the freezer and place in a plate at room temperature (in this case, all trace elements and vitamins in them persist).

Dairy products

Sour milk contains a large number of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli, which are useful for our digestive system. But it's not worth heating them in a microwave oven, especially if the product is in its original packaging. Firstly, it can lead to spoilage - the product will simply curl up and lose its beneficial properties.

Grapes

It's hard to imagine, but if you heat grapes in a microwave oven, they can explode. This is due to the fact that the berries contain a lot of sugar: when heated, all moisture evaporates, and the sugar begins to smoke and can even catch fire. A similar situation can happen when heating raisins, and any fruit with a high sugar content.

  • Paper bag. It may seem like there is nothing wrong with reheating food in paper bags. But this can lead to some unpleasant consequences. For example, when brown bags are heated, acrid toxic smoke may appear, which will be absorbed into food and make it unusable. And if you put too much power, the package may completely catch fire.
