However, many people still treat this information with a warning, and also just do not know which products contain these high quality substances, that is, useful for the body.
Many people today try to consume as little saturated fat as possible. And the reasons for this are as follows:
- Fear of high cholesterol and heart disease, which is believed to develop in this case. However, the findings of recent studies have shown that in many ways this fear is not justified.

However, this is not entirely true, because in this form we consume substandard substances. Moreover, today many manufacturers replace real saturated fats with cheaper vegetable analogues, for example, palm oil, which can be found in many products.
And this opens up the following two problems: we spend extra money buying low-quality products and sometimes outright fake and we are deficient in useful saturated acids, for example, phospholipids.
For this reason, when we consume supposedly saturated fats, most of the crafts are present in our diet.

And in fact, the list is far from long - it has only two items.
Fat
The most popular option among animal fats (both pork and chicken, fish, etc.). Many people do not know, but in terms of the content of oleic and linoleic acids useful for the body, lard practically catches up with the popular olive oil. But it is these substances that help reduce the amount of cholesterol in the blood, the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases.
Butter
Butter is just as healthy as fish oil. Our ancestors knew about this, who used this product for centuries.
For example, in India, this product is considered divine, it is part of a large number of medicines. True, in the Northern regions, everyone without exception uses lukewarm butter, the inhabitants of the Southern regions have switched to vegetable products.
Mortality and the number of deaths from heart attacks and other heart diseases among the "southerners" is much higher.
It is for these reasons that we most often find counterfeit products in our stores, not butter. Naturally, this is done for the benefit of manufacturers who can sell cheap substances under the guise of expensive products.
Tips for choosing natural oil
In fact, today it is not as easy to buy natural and high-quality oil as it seems - everywhere they sell a fake. But there are tips to help you do this:
- GOST. The fact is that in Russia since 2008 there has been a new GOST, according to which many additives can now be added to butter, preservatives, stabilizers (the latter, by the way, help to "transform" a product with a low fat content with a more expensive one - with a high fat content). - Shelf life. The maximum term for a natural product is 90 days from the date of manufacture. If the package says 43 months or more, then there are either many additives in the composition, or you are purchasing margarine.
- The cost. Natural oil cannot be cheap even for the reason that for the production of 1 kg of such products at least 20 liters of natural cow's milk is required, the purchase price for which starts from 10 rubles per 1 l.
- Structure. The most important thing to pay attention to. Look at the composition, where there should be nothing other than cream, whole milk, salt (or sugar).
It is better to overpay but buy a quality product with a minimum of additives than to buy cheap and dangerous margarines and spreads.
