Pollock is an excellent fish, rich in nutrients! And the price is quite affordable. I learned this recipe recently, but it became my "duty". The fish is really cooked very quickly, simply, without problems, and most importantly, there is no nasty smell during cooking!
A step-by-step recipe with a photo of how to deliciously cook pollock in a pan.
For cooking, we need the most common products - these are:
- 700 gr. pollock. I have 5 small fish.
- 2 onions - total weight 200 g
- Black pepper and salt to taste.
- 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.
The fish needs to be cleaned: remove the insides, be sure to get rid of the black film and cut off the fins. Do not forget to wash and dry the pollock with a paper towel.
I cut the fish into portions.

I will cut the onion into half rings.
Grease a frying pan with vegetable oil and spread the fish in one layer.
Salt and pepper to taste, you can also add your favorite seasoning. BUT, as for me, it's so delicious just with pepper, salt and onion. Nothing extra.
I spread the bow on top.
I will not fry pollock, but simmer in my own juice and the juice that will stand out from the onion!
I put a frying pan on the stove, turn on a strong fire. From the moment the pan is well heated, I close the lid and cook for 15 minutes over low heat. Do not open the lid!
The fish is ready! With this cooking method onions acquire a creamy taste - it really is. And no smell while cooking!
I think everyone knows what the smell will be in the apartment if you fry pollock ๐ This will definitely not happen here!
