Recently I was in Moscow on business and after the end of the next meeting I found myself in the area of the Patriarch's Ponds. This place is considered one of the most expensive areas in Moscow.
There are many trendy and expensive restaurants where you can pay 500 rubles and more for coffee alone. It became interesting to me to try some expensive dessert and see if it is worth the money.
I have been following the Pino restaurant on Instagram for a long time, which is located in this area. Therefore, I decided to drop in for dessert with them.
The restaurant looks great, you can check it yourself from the photos above. I will not paint the details of the interior, as my goal is to tell you about the dessert.
I ordered the Vanilla Souffle dessert. The waiter warned me that a new batch of soufflés had just begun to be prepared and would have to wait 45 minutes. I had time to spare, so I agreed to wait.
Soufflé is an uncomplicated dessert and is easy to make even at home. Therefore, I was extremely interested in how it is served in this expensive place.
I don’t remember exactly how many minutes later the dessert arrived, but I didn’t wait in vain. The soufflé is served in a beautiful metal bowl with gold handles. The submission is not limited to this.
With you, the soufflé is cut in the middle and the vanilla sauce is poured inside. But that's not all. Following the sauce, a scoop of vanilla ice cream is sent to the center of the soufflé. The soufflé is served hot and should be eaten immediately.
The soufflé itself is very delicate and airy. And in combination with vanilla sauce and ice cream, it's just a bomb. If I hadn't filmed dessert for you, I would have eaten it very quickly.
And now let's return from heaven to earth and see how much all this pleasure is worth. A portion of "Vanilla soufflé" costs 850 rubles. The price is high, but you need to understand the following: the restaurant is located in one of the most expensive districts of Moscow, and rent here is cosmically expensive.
Of course, whether 850 rubles is expensive for such a dessert or not, everyone decides for himself, but for now I will sum up the results.
I really liked the dessert. Am I glad that it is so expensive? On the one hand, no, with this money you can buy 2-3 excellent desserts in Moscow. On the other hand, in my opinion, this cost is justified, and not only by high rent, but also by the service of the restaurant, as well as by the service itself.
And what is the most expensive dessert you have tried that you would not mind paying for again?
