For many years in a row, I have been freezing a huge number of tomatoes. Some of my friends, when they saw tomatoes in my freezer, were very surprised and did not understand why I needed so much and what I was doing with them. After my answers to these questions, they also began to freeze tomatoes. Today I will tell you why I am doing this.

Hypothesis: store-bought tomatoes are made from money. This explains both their price and their taste. Especially in winter.

How did I get the idea to freeze tomatoes? It's very simple: once there was a very fruitful year for tomatoes. Both my grandmother and my father had a lot of tomatoes. We all live in different cities, but quite often we go to visit each other. My grandmother came to me and brought a bucket of tomatoes, the next day my father also with a bucket of tomatoes 😂. I was already worn out doing preservation and decided to just throw it in the freezer... This is how my story of acquaintance with frozen tomatoes began.

5 reasons why I freeze tomatoes:
FIRST: this is one of the options for harvesting tomatoes. Moreover, the fastest and most convenient! Tomatoes do not stick to each other and are convenient to use. I am harvesting in boxes. If you know the easier way, then write in the comments. I will use it with pleasure.
SECOND: in winter tomatoes are very expensive in the store, that's just sooooo expensive. I don’t know about you, but in my city of Kursk in winter tomatoes cost about 500 rubles per kilogram. I am not the daughter or wife of an oligarch, and I cannot afford tomatoes for such a price. And in the summer they grow in my garden for free.
THIRD: these tomatoes make great scrambled eggs! My husband and I love to have breakfast in the morning with scrambled eggs and tomatoes. Frozen tomatoes are free and great for this dish. I also use such tomatoes in borsch, for baking, in pizza and many other dishes.
FOURTH: Have you ever eaten a fragrant, delicious tomato in winter? Me not. Occasionally cherry tomatoes come across edible. Even with scrambled eggs it is not tasty to eat such tomatoes in winter. But their own still have taste and aroma. Yes, they are frozen and their taste is not so bright, but it is! This is what frozen tomatoes look like.
FIFTH: such tomatoes will never "explode", unlike canned ones, and they are much healthier! And this is very important. Vinegar, sugar, salt have already been added to canned tomatoes and there is no benefit left in them, if you do not agree with this, then write why.
