My husband especially loves such tomatoes in winter with scrambled eggs and always asks me to make "those" tomatoes in the summer.
So, for cooking we need:
2.6 kg. tomatoes.
2 incomplete tablespoons of salt.
4-5 cloves of garlic (optional)
basil (optional)
185 gr. any vegetable oil.

Let's start cooking!
I cut the tomatoes into 2 pieces. For this method, the workpieces do not need to be cut too finely. I have tomatoes of different colors. I recommend choosing sweet varieties, it will be tastier.
If the tomato is large, then I cut it into 4 parts.
I put the tomatoes in a saucepan, salt and stir. I leave it for 20 minutes. For convenience, I have divided the tomatoes into 2 parts.
I drain the liquid that has formed.
I put the tomatoes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. I got 3 baking sheets.
I put them in an oven preheated to 80 degrees and cook for about 7 hours. The oven should be slightly open.
The tomatoes are slightly soft, as they should be.
I will cut the garlic into plates.
I put a little garlic in a 0.5 liter jar, then tomatoes, then dried basil, and so on until the jar is full.
I tamp the tomatoes straight so that they fit more.
There are 2 options for storing such sun-dried tomatoes:
1 OPTION.We simply put the tomatoes in a clean, dry jar, fill them to the top with vegetable oil and tighten the lid. These tomatoes should be kept cold in the refrigerator.

OPTION 2 (which I choose). The jar and the lid must be sterilized in advance and pour the tomatoes with hot vegetable oil, turn the jar upside down, wrap it in a blanket and leave to cool completely. These tomatoes are very well stored just in the apartment!
