Sandwiches with onions. We always prepared them in the hostel. And then, when there was not enough money... But even now, even though the bad times are long gone, sometimes I remember this recipe. Because it’s very tasty! If your health allows you and you have not tried such hot sandwiches yet - I highly recommend it! Moreover, they are being prepared for one-two-three!
I cut the loaf about 1-1.5 cm thick. Such sandwiches are most delicious with a loaf. Any bread can be used, of course. Beat an egg in a deep plate, add finely chopped onion, a little flour, salt and mix. If there is, you can add grated cheese (it is very tasty with it). But we usually didn't have cheese, so we added what we had - usually it was grated potatoes.
I mix all this and put it on pieces of loaf. I heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and gently, stuffing down, put the sandwiches in the pan. On the second side, you don't need to fry. But if you like crispy bread, you can turn it over and hold it in the pan for another 30-40 seconds. Here's what happens. The first photo is with cheese, the second is with potatoes. And yes, I know it's not very healthy, but very tasty!
