It tastes like fried!
I am sure that many people love capelin, but they do not cook it, because then you will not get rid of the unpleasant smell in the kitchen.
I found a way to cook this fish completely without fat. And there is practically no smell! Although the fish tastes no worse than fried in oil!
What do you need:
• Capelin - 500 g
• Black pepper
• Salt
• Flour for breading (corn or wheat)
How to cook:
I defrost the fish on a shelf in the refrigerator. Then I wash, salt and add black pepper. Let it stand for 20-30 minutes.
You can remove the insides. But I don’t usually do this - the finished fish is easy to clean. But, of course, you can also clean it if you want.
I roll the fish in flour. I usually use corn.
I remove the excess flour and put the fish on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
You can use regular wheat flour. For convenience, I use the package. I pour flour into it and put the fish there. I shake it - it's done!
I also remove excess flour, put the fish on a baking sheet and put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
