Soup that can be made from food that is always in the refrigerator. My grandmother also cooked "Zatiruha". Delicious! Delicious!
Most often, this soup was prepared in water. But, of course, you can use any broth - vegetable, mushroom or meat.
Many years ago, when my husband and I were having a difficult time, I used to add bouillon cubes to the soup (they were still "edible" then).

I send chopped potatoes and bouillon cubes into the water. And I cook potatoes until cooked.
At this time, I sift the flour into a bowl and drive in one egg.
I grind the egg with flour to make lumps of dough. You can make these lumps of any size. It's more convenient for me when they are small.
Be sure to sift the dough pieces through a sieve to remove excess flour.
My grandmother also dried them in a dry frying pan.
But I rarely do that. The pieces of dough have time to dry out anyway while I cook the rest.
I fry the onion in a little oil. After a couple of minutes, add the carrots and fry for another 3-4 minutes.
When the potatoes are ready, I send the pieces of dough and fried vegetables to the pan. And I cook for 3-4 minutes.
At the end I add chopped fresh herbs. You can add bay leaves. I let the soup brew for 10-15 minutes and serve. Delicious! And satisfying even without meat.
