Favorite salad a little new. It turns out very tasty.

Like many, we cook herring under a fur coat more often on holidays. And they always cooked according to the classic recipe. Tasty, after all, why change something... But recently, for no reason at all, my husband made this salad for dinner.

I couldn't immediately understand why it turned out so tasty... I thought that I just missed the herring under the fur coat. But then I realized that the taste is really a little different. I really liked it! It turned out that my husband had added another ingredient to the salad. I share his recipe (I am preparing today).

How to cook

I boiled vegetables in advance. I boiled eggs and cut the herring into small cubes. I cook the mayonnaise myself. At the end of the article, I will leave a link to several recipes for mayonnaise, which I prepare in different ways.

I also cut one small onion in advance. I put it in a deep plate, add a pinch of salt, a little sugar, a spoonful of vinegar 9% and 3-4 tablespoons of water. I mix it all and leave for 15 minutes. During this time, the onions are marinated.

Marina onions

I have ceramic molds (350 ml). I grease them with a little mayonnaise and spread the potatoes grated on a fine grater in the first layer.

Next is a layer of herring. And some more mayonnaise.

Now a layer of pickled onions. You can, of course, not pickle onions. But we like pickled ones more. You can add here, if you like, a grated sour apple. But for some reason my son does not perceive salads with apples at all, so we do not add. Although I like it))

Spread a layer of grated carrots on the pickled onions and coat with a little more mayonnaise.

And now an ingredient that we have not added before, and which we will always add now. Because it turned out delicious! The husband took another onion and fried it in a little vegetable oil.

I spread it in a thin layer in the salad. You don't need much! Even very small amounts of fried onions make the salad tastier. You can't feel it, but the taste ...

Then a layer of beets, a little mayonnaise and a layer of boiled eggs. All! The salad is ready.

It's tastier if it stands a little, but I won't wait, I'll try right away))
