It is believed that the name comes from the name of the Emperor Nicholas I, who loved her (and according to another legend - Nicholas II). If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it :)

COOKING:
There are only three ingredients: lemon, sugar (or powdered sugar) and coffee. Natural ground coffee. Instant won't do! I cut the lemon into slices and put it on a plate. Sprinkle with sugar (or powdered sugar)
Then coffee. I use a strainer to distribute the coffee evenly. But you can pour it with a spoon, of course.

It can be a little different. Sprinkle sugar on one half of a lemon slice and coffee on the other.
I usually serve this snack with strong drinks. There are three tastes at once: sour, sweet and bitter. Super! Try it if you haven't tried this snack before. Everyone we suggested was surprised how simple, yet unusual and tasty!
