Then today I propose a recipe unusual and very tasty snacks, for which you do not need to buy expensive products. If only it was available ordinary beets.
It looks beautiful on a festive table, although I often cook it for a regular dinner, because it turns out to be very appetizing.
๐ To make a beetroot roll with cheese you will need:
For the "test":
Beets - 1 large or 2 small (weighing about 250 g)
Chicken eggs - 3 pcs.
Sugar - 1 tsp l.
Salt - 1 tsp l.
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l.
Starch - 2 tbsp. l.
Flour - 2 tbsp. l.
For filling:
Hard cheese - 200 g
Curd (cream) cheese - 180-200 g
Garlic - 2-3 cloves
Black pepper - to taste

Let's start with the beet dough. It is prepared quite quickly and easily. We peel and rub the beets on a fine grater. If you don't want to get your hands dirty, you can grind it with a blender or meat grinder. The main thing is to make it smaller.
Further, we divide the chicken eggs into whites and yolks. We immediately send the yolks into a bowl with beets, and pour the proteins into a separate container and set aside for now.
Following the yolks, add flour, starch, salt, sugar to the bowl and pour in the butter. Mix everything thoroughly with a spoon.
Back to proteins. Beat them with a mixer until fluffy, stable foam.
Transfer the whipped egg whites to the beet mass.
And mix everything carefully, trying to maintain an airy consistency.
Cover the baking sheet (I had 30 by 40 cm) with parchment for baking, evenly distribute the beetroot dough over it. It is important that the paper is of high quality, otherwise it will be problematic to remove the finished beet cake โwithout lossesโ. We put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 12-15 minutes - no more, otherwise the base of the roll will dry out.
Take the finished cake out of the oven and turn it over onto a second (clean) sheet of parchment paper. Let it cool down for a while (7-10 minutes).
Meanwhile, we are preparing the filling. To do this, rub hard cheese on a fine grater, mix it with curd cheese, add garlic passed through a press and black ground pepper, you can add a little salt to taste.
Mix everything well - and the filling is ready.
Carefully separate the cooled beetroot crust from the parchment and spread the cheese filling over the entire surface in an even thin layer.
We roll it up with a tight roll.

Wrap it in parchment again (use the same sheet on which the dough was baked) and send it to the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
We take out the cooled and soaked roll from the refrigerator, unfold and cut into portions. The appetizer turns out to be spicy and aromatic, my guests are always delighted with it. Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
