This one-bite snack is a perfect combination of puffed dough, mushroom filling and cheese. She always flies off the table first, faster than hot cakes.

Yorkshire puddings are a great hot mini snack for a festive table. It is also great for a buffet table as a one-bite snack. And it is also suitable for the daily menu.
By the way, these Yorkshire puddings can be cooked with absolutely any toppings to your taste. And even sweet!
Try it - it's unusual, simple and very tasty.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • milk - 200 ml
  • flour - 125 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • butter - 15 g (for lubricating molds)
  • salt - 1/3 tsp l.

Filling:

  • champignons - 300 g
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • cream 10% - 100 ml
  • cheese - 70 g
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper - to taste

Step by step recipe

1. First, let's prepare the dough.
Break 2 eggs into a bowl, pour 1/3 tsp. salt and pour 200 ml of milk. Beat everything until smooth.

2. Pour 125 g of flour into the egg mixture. We mix everything so that there are no lumps.
The dough should turn out to be liquid.

3. Pour the dough into a container with a spout, I have a measuring cup. Cover with a lid and let it brew for at least 2 hours. I leave the dough in the refrigerator overnight.

4. The dough is infused. Preparing baking tins.
Lubricate all the molds with melted butter. I have a mold diameter of 4 cm. These molds will not be enough for me and I am preparing one more silicone molds for cupcakes.

5. Pour the dough into the prepared molds. We fill each mold with dough no more than half.
If the dough has stratified a little after standing overnight, then stir it with a spoon.

6. We put everything in the oven preheated to 220 degrees. We bake for 15 minutes.

7. After 15 minutes, turn off the oven and leave the puddings in the closed oven for another 5 minutes.

8. Preparing the filling for the puddings.
Cut one onion into quarters into rings.
Cut 300 g of washed mushrooms into slices.

9. Put the prepared mushrooms in a hot frying pan. Fry over high heat until all the liquid has evaporated.
When all the liquid has evaporated, add a little vegetable oil and put the chopped onion.

10. Fry over medium heat until the onions are tender.
Salt and pepper everything to taste. Pour 100 ml of cream with a fat content of 10-15%.

11. Mix everything and cook for about 2 more minutes until the cream becomes thick.
The filling is ready, remove it from the heat.

12. Put the mushroom filling in the cooled puddings. From this amount of dough, I got 17 puddings.

13. 70 g of cheese three on a coarse grater.
Put the grated cheese on top of the mushroom filling.

14. Place the prepared puddings in a baking dish. We put everything in the oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for about 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted. You can also melt cheese in the microwave.

Yorkshire puddings turned out to be very tasty and mouth-watering. They are not at all difficult and even interesting to cook. This appetizer is delicious both warm and cold.
Also, Yorkshire puddings can be prepared with other fillings, even sweet ones.
