The "Easter Nest" salad is a real decoration of the festive Easter table.
It is beautiful, tasty and, moreover, easy to prepare. In this salad you will find a classic combination of meat, mushrooms and boiled vegetables. The salad turns out to be tasty and quite satisfying.
The ingredients are the simplest and most affordable. By the way, you can take any meat, I use lean pork. But chicken or beef is also good here.
The highlight of this salad, of course, is the unusual design in the form of a nest with colored eggs.

And in this recipe, I'll show you how to make natural colored dyes for dyeing peeled eggs from the most common foods.
Ingredients:
- champignons - 300 g
- boiled meat - 200 g
- cheese - 200 g
- boiled eggs - 4 pcs.
- boiled carrots - 2 pcs.
- boiled potatoes - 1-2 pcs.
- mayonnaise - 200 g
- salt to taste
- vegetable oil for frying
Decoration
- quail eggs - 9 pcs.
- red cabbage - 150 g
- beets - 150 g
- turmeric - 1 tsp l.
- parsley - a few branches
Step by step recipe
1. Let's start by making natural dyes for quail eggs.
For the blue dye, shred about 150 g of red cabbage. We transfer the cabbage to a saucepan and pour 300 g of water. We put on fire and cook for about 20 minutes.
2. Strain the hot dye through a sieve and put boiled, already peeled quail eggs into it.
3. For red dye, three 150 g of raw beets on a fine grater. Fill the grated beets with 100 grams of boiling water, mix and let it brew for about 10 minutes.
4. Filter the resulting dye through a sieve and put quail eggs in it.
5. To obtain a yellow dye, pour 1 teaspoon of turmeric into a glass. Fill with about 100 grams of boiling water and stir. We also put quail eggs here.
6. While the eggs are being painted, prepare the salad. Cut 300 g of champignons into slices.
7. Put the chopped champignons in a hot pan with sunflower oil.
Fry over high heat until all the liquid has evaporated, and then reduce the heat to medium and fry the mushrooms until beautiful golden barrels appear.
At the end, salt the fried mushrooms, pepper, stir and remove from heat.
8. Let's prepare all the other ingredients.
Three large boiled potatoes on a fine grater.
Two boiled carrots are also three on a fine grater.
9. 4 boiled eggs, too, three on a fine grater.
200 g of cheese three on a coarse grater.
10. Cut 200 g of boiled meat into small pieces, I took pork.
For convenience, we transfer 200 g of mayonnaise into a pastry bag.
11. Putting the salad together in a large platter. Put grated potatoes in the first layer and distribute them evenly over the dish.
Salt the potato layer a little and apply a net of mayonnaise.
Put fried mushrooms in the second layer. We also apply a net of mayonnaise on top.
12. Put the grated carrots in the next layer. Starting from this layer and further in the center of the lettuce, we make a small depression for the future nest.
Salt the carrots a little and cover with mayonnaise.
13. Put chopped meat in the fourth layer. We make a mesh of mayonnaise.
Put grated eggs on the meat and do not forget to form a depression in the center of the salad.
We also apply a net of mayonnaise on the egg layer.
14. And with the last layer we spread the grated cheese, covering the salad on top and on the sides.
15. About 40 minutes have passed, the quail eggs are already colored, we take them out on a plate.
Decorate the center of the salad with parsley leaves and put the colored quail eggs on them.
On the sides, we also decorate the salad with colored eggs and parsley leaves.
The Easter nest salad turned out to be unusual, beautiful and very tasty.
It is not difficult to prepare it and it will definitely become the highlight of your Easter table.
