Quick Recipes: Delicious Turkey Rice for Dinner in Forty Minutes

I noticed that many rarely cook a turkey, but not at all because turkey is an expensive pleasure in comparison with the same chicken. It's just that a stereotype has formed - chicken is simple, but turkey is difficult. Getting ready, I mean.

Using turkey meat - even a breast or a bucket - is not difficult at all. And the turkey does not require any special fuss with itself.

Everything can be done one time, and you're done! Moreover, a full-fledged and satisfying, and, most importantly, a healthy lunch or dinner is ready.

We take:

  • 200 grams of good long grain rice;
  • 500 grams of turkey (breast or thigh - decide for yourself);
  • Two sweet peppers (fresh);
  • One large onion;
  • A couple of cloves of garlic;
  • A couple of tablespoons of tomato paste;
  • Half a liter of broth (chicken or vegetable), no broth - you can take water. The amount of broth or water can be increased (it all depends on the rice);
  • A spoonful of ground paprika;
  • Red pepper to taste;
  • Salt and oil for frying.

How we cook:

Cut the onion into small cubes, and the turkey and bell pepper into small squares, large, but not very large. Moreover, it is desirable that they turn out to be the same size - it will turn out prettier this way.

We heat the oil in a frying pan and send the onions, meat and bell peppers into it all at once.

Fry everything over high heat, add garlic (crushed or chopped).

Fry for another minute, add tomato paste, mix, and after another couple of minutes add rice to the pan.

Oh yes, mix again, pour all this with broth, salt, pepper, bring to a boil and simmer under the lid until tender, about 20-25 minutes.

It takes me forty minutes to cook this dish.
