On my channel, I publish several recipes for various pastries every week. Today I will bring to your attention a recipe for a very tasty and soft pie with a very satisfying filling.

✨ Such a cake is quite popular in my family, and it is eaten literally in one sitting. I only change the fillings sometimes!

Today it is potatoes, cheese and fresh herbs, which go well with each other and perfectly complement the thin ruddy dough. Making such a cake is a pleasure, but eating it is an even greater pleasure!

And besides, such a cake is baked in only 10 minutes! Try it - I have no doubt you will love this cake! 🥰

📕Ingredients for making the cake: 🥙

For the test:
Kefir - 200 ml
Wheat flour - 250-270 g
Unscented sunflower oil - 40 ml
Salt - 0.5 tsp l.
Granulated sugar - 1 tsp l.
Soda - 1 tsp
For filling:
Potatoes - 300 g
Cheese (hard or suluguni - your choice) - 200 g
Fresh herbs are optional.
You will also need:
Egg - 1 pc. (to lubricate the top)

✨First, we will do some preparation of the filling - take the potatoes, peel them and set them to boil in salted water until tender.

In the meantime, we begin to prepare the dough... Pour kefir at room temperature into any suitable bowl for kneading the dough (if you just got it out of the refrigerator, you can slightly heat it up in the microwave). Add salt, sugar, pour in vegetable oil.

Mix everything well with a whisk.

Sift flour into a separate bowl, add soda and stir well. And in several approaches we introduce flour into the kefir mass. It may take a little more flour for you. But at the same time, the additional portion should not exceed 30-40 g, otherwise the dough will turn out to be clogged, tough.

Knead the dough gradually. It will turn out to be soft, homogeneous and almost non-stick to hands and work surface. We put it in a ball, put it in a plastic bag, or just tighten the bowl with the dough with cling film and let it "rest" while the filling is being prepared further.

Knead the boiled potatoes to a puree consistency using a crush. It is important not to use a blender, otherwise you will end up with a paste instead of a delicate puree.

Next, on a coarse grater, rub the cheese directly into a bowl of potatoes.

Add finely chopped fresh herbs.

Stir the potato cheese mass and taste it. If there is not enough salt, add salt. Of course, the taste of the filling depends a lot on the salinity of the cheese.

And now we start to shape the cake! It is convenient to form it directly on the baking sheet, not forgetting to lay a silicone non-stick mat or a sheet of parchment on it. Sprinkle a little flour on the surface, spread the dough ball and flatten it into a cake with your hands. Put the filling on top.

Then we collect the edges of the cake from above, carefully linking them together.

Turn it over with the "seam" down and gently knead it with your hands to an approximate diameter of 30 cm. In the center, make a small round hole with your finger. Lubricate the pie with a beaten egg on top.

Such a cake is baked in an oven preheated to 220-230 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. We let the finished cake cool down a bit, cut it and invite the family to treat it!
