An idea was thrown to me here - to write about the nuances, especially in public catering, from which it becomes "disgusting to shiver", and the guest has the right to get up - and just leave the institution.
I once wrote about something similar, but there, for the most part, it was about home cooking.
I don't like it when a person who cooks has long nails. I don’t believe that he washes them with a brush, like a surgeon... And the hair (let's be honest) should be tucked away - if not under the cap, then at least in the tail, if it is long. And then, when the hair is shaken over the saucepans, the risk of later finding the hair in the prepared food increases very much.
But this, in principle, is about cooking.
In public catering, you can't look into the kitchen. But there, even without a visit to the kitchen, there are enough things, because of which the appetite will disappear and disgust will appear.
A colleague recently admitted that he immediately leaves the establishment if he sees waiters with skin problems, even on the face. He admits that this is, at the present time, discrimination, one might say that society is condemned, but he cannot do anything with himself.
Several other people noted that they were very closely watching how the waiter carried the plates and how they were assembled from the tray. Because quite often we were faced with the fact that the waiters' fingers fell right... into the food.
Of course, here we can say that fingers could have been stuck in food and in the kitchen, so what difference does it make whether they dipped them during serving or not, but! If the institution makes sure that all actions are performed correctly, then the waiter will not allow such a thing. And if they spit, it's better not to eat there.
By the way, all the respondents pay attention to the waiters' hands. Dirty, gnawed, sloppy nails, in any case, cause disgust, because they are associated with poor hygiene.
Here I will add - gloves and gloves are also different. Gloves fogged up, yellowed with sweat from the inside, which were obviously not used for an hour or two, but still happens - damaged on one of the fingers... Definitely from an establishment with a waiter with such gloves on his hands - only run.
And here's another nuance: flying insects in the hall.
- No flies! - About half of the respondents reported.
One person even explained why. A fly fell into his plate once during a meal. That is, the dish was brought "clean", and only then there was a fly. At the same time, the staff said - well, it's not our fault, they fly!
Since then, he has been in establishments where flies “just fly” - not a foot. However, those for whom flies have not landed in their food also try to avoid them - it’s little fun when you have to defend your food from these buzzing kamikazes trying to kill themselves in soup. Or from a crowd of small midges stubbornly hurrying to fly into your glass.
Midges and flies are a sign of non-compliance with sanitary rules, so then. And if the staff informs - they just fly, we are to blame, then we just run.
