We often have guests at our dacha in the summer. And among them, many do not like okroshka. But, when the husband prepares his okroshka, almost everyone eats. I want to share his recipe. This recipe is very simple and yes, it is not new at all and many people know it. But if you haven’t tried to cook like that, I highly recommend it.

As my husband says: "Okroshka should be only with beef and only with kvass!" I don't quite agree with him. But I really like his okroshka))
HOW TO COOK:
I boil the beef in salted water in advance. Be sure to add an onion to the broth. Then the beef needs to be cooled. And in general, all products for okroshka should be cold. I cut the meat into strips.
I cut the eggs into small cubes. Cucumbers and radishes - in thin strips. I chop the greens with a knife. My cucumbers are young, so I don't peel them. But, if the skin is tough, it is, of course, better to remove it.
There are two options for making such okroshka. You can combine all the ingredients in a saucepan, add salt, black pepper, mix and pour all this with kvass. For half an hour - in the refrigerator.
But we serve in portions. I put chopped beef, cucumbers, radishes, eggs and herbs on a plate. I add salt and pepper to taste. We don't add potatoes. But, if you like okroshka with potatoes, you can add.
I fill it all with kvass. I have homemade kvass. I cook especially for okroshka. He's so "vigorous"! Okroshka turns out excellent with such kvass! I never use sweet kvass for okroshka.
I add a spoonful of sour cream to the plate and serve. If the kvass is not very sharp, then you need to add a little more horseradish and hot mustard to the plate.
