I saw how much berries and fruits cost in the market in the center of Moscow. The prices were unpleasantly surprised.
Recently I was in Moscow on business and found myself next to Foodmall DEPOT. It is a modern place where shopping market arches intersect with cafes and restaurants. These “gastromarkets” are very popular lately.
When I walked past the shopping arcade, my eye caught on the ridiculous price tags. I must say that the owner approached the labels with humor.
Here you also have strawberries of the "Bomba Chestnogovor" variety (the author's spelling is preserved).
There are as many as 2 varieties of raspberries. The first sort is boring - “awesome raspberry”. But the second grade is already more interesting - "raspberry AGON".
As soon as he took out his phone, the seller immediately flies up and says: “1 photo - 50 rubles,” he looks and smiles. In response, I suggested that he correct the mistakes on the labels at 50 rubles per mistake.
But the seller said that they made mistakes on purpose in order to amuse the buyers. I laughed, and then took a closer look at the price tag and my eyes went up to my forehead.
If you look from afar at the cost of, for example, cherries, you can see the large numbers of 750 rubles. The price, of course, is high, but it is still the center of Moscow, and rent is expensive here. And the cherry itself is perfect, it is clear that the seller tried, spreading only ripe berries.
But when I looked at the price better, I noticed a detail that is written in small print. Cherry 750 rubles per 0.5 kg. It turns out that a kilogram costs as much as 1,500 rubles.
Then I decided to study, and maybe the other price tags are fraught with secrets. It turned out that there are all price tags with an asterisk. For example, "very sweet nectarines" at 250 rubles per 100 grams or 2500 rubles per kilogram.
The same raspberry, which "AGON", it turns out, costs only 4000 rubles per kilogram. Now, of course, is not the season yet, but even in expensive stores it is cheaper.
I did not expect such prices from the market. But since there are such prices, then there is demand, and someone still buys. I returned my eyes from my forehead to their place and refused to buy - while the raspberry "AGON" I can not afford.
