An interesting variation that helps to make a rather tough turkey much softer and cook much faster.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg turkey fillet
- 2 glasses of pepsi (cola)
- salt
- ground black pepper
- frying oil
How to cook:
1. Wash and dry the turkey thigh fillet (not breast). Cut into slices.
Prepare Pepsi. The recipe requires cola, but Pepsi will work too.
2. Season the turkey with salt and pepper. Top it generously with pepsi at room temperature.
3. Cover the bowl with a lid or cling film and refrigerate for several hours.
4. Remove the pickled turkey from the Pepsi, you can even dry it a little.
5. Fry the poultry in vegetable oil without adding pepsi or other marinade for about 20 minutes.
Serve the finished turkey with any side dish. It goes well with boiled pasta, cereals and vegetables. Also does not go well with homemade pickles or fresh vegetable salad.
The taste of the bird due to Pepsi is very unusual. A bit sweet, but pleasant. If you want spice, then dip such a turkey in chili sauce or mustard. Try it!
Bon Appetit!
