To feel refreshed and invigorated on a hot day, you need to drink a lot of cool liquid. Water, for example. Or add lemon, mint and ice cubes to the water.

That is why today we will prepare a real refreshing homemade mojito. Alcohol free, of course.

Ingredients:

  • lemon
  • fresh mint
  • sprite or just water with gas
  • brown sugar (honey can be used)
  • basil leaves
  • ice
  • mojito syrup or mint syrup - to taste and desire, if any

How to cook:

1. Scald the lemon with boiling water. To cut in half. Squeeze juice from one part, cut the second into large semicircles.

2. Wash fresh mint and shake off the liquid.

3. Put some crushed ice, a few brown sugar cubes, or 1 tbsp. l. honey, pour in lemon juice and add half mint with basil leaves.

4. Rub the contents of the jug with a spoon so that the herbs begin to give off their aromas.

5. Add half of ice to the jug, pour cold sprite or soda water. Add mojito or mint syrup (if available) to taste.

6. Place lemon slices and fresh mint on top in a jug. Stir with a long spoon and serve.

Pour refreshing homemade mojito into glasses and enjoy the coolness.

Enjoy!
