I have never tasted such delicious rolls.
Over the past couple of weeks, I had to make several business trips to the Tula region. When I went for the first time, I found an interesting farmers' fair on the border of the Moscow and Tula regions.
The fair itself, however, is not functioning, possibly due to a pandemic. It looks strange, as if you were in a dead city. But among other buildings I discovered the Kalachnaya Mark and Lev restaurant.
I could not get into the institution for the first time. It was Monday, and that day was the only day off for the restaurant. But I noticed the place and for the second time on the way back I drove there specifically to have a snack and take a break from the road.
From the outside, the establishment looks very nice. Huge windows to the floor, through which you can see what is happening inside. It's time to go in and look around.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to show the cafe menu. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of him. Upon returning home, I looked at their website, there is not an up-to-date menu, but you will at least have an idea of prices and assortment.
I tried a large roll with strawberries, pumpkin and camembert cheese. Cooked it up quickly enough. Let me show you what they brought me.
I must say that I have never eaten rolls before. Therefore, I cannot compare them with anything else. But my roll looks good. There is a lot of filling inside, which does not fall out at the same time.
The kalach itself is made with whole grain flour and sourdough, and you can feel it in the taste. The dough of the roll is quite dense, but most importantly, it is not dry. True, I wouldn't eat such a roll without the filling.
There are a lot of fillings here. The hot spread camembert was delicious. The strawberries are juicy and sweet, but the pumpkin, of which there is a lot here, was not particularly noticeable in the taste.
In addition to the roll, I ordered an even larger mug of iced tea. All together it cost me 560 rubles. Whether it's expensive or cheap, everyone decides for himself, but the cost seemed adequate to me. It's time to take stock.
I liked Kalachnaya Mark and Leo. It is pleasant to eat and relax in it during the trip. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is good. I will definitely come here next time I go to Tula.
