Remember the movie "Elvira, Patroness of Darkness"? An old film, in my opinion, it was even played in video salons (if someone does not know, this is in the late eighties - early the nineties, there were rooms in which there was a TV and a VCR, and that's where the sessions were arranged - a ruble with nose).
How does he relate to food? everything is simple! There was an episode either with a charity citywide picnic, or with some other devouring event, to which the participants brought their own prepared dishes.
And the main character was preparing a casserole. Filling her with chips from the bag.
Adults said to this "wow, what disgusting", we, children and teenagers, drooling. Although it seemed that the chips were supposed to show that Elvira did not know how to cook.
And later I found out that chips are quite an ingredient for casseroles. especially if it's Mexican or American cuisine.
Well, how, shall we cook?
We take:
- A couple of red onions
- A couple of cloves of garlic
- Six pieces of tomatoes (they are the main ones here, so take the fleshy and tasty ones)
- One sweet bell pepper
- Canned Corn
- 150 grams of hard cheese
- 150 grams of chips
- A couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil
- A teaspoon of sugar (correct acidity)
- 1/2 teaspoon chili pepper
- A teaspoon of sweet paprika
- Salt to taste
- A few tablespoons of sour cream or mayonnaise (whatever you like), grease the top of the casserole.
How we cook:
Blanch the tomatoes, peel, cut. Cut the sweet pepper into small cubes. Cut the onion into quarters into rings and finely chop the garlic. Fry them for a few minutes in hot oil, then add tomatoes, bell peppers, sugar and spices there.
Cook for about ten minutes until the excess liquid evaporates.
Cheese three.
Then we take a baking dish and lay out in layers - chips, tomato sauce, canned corn, grated cheese.
The last layer should be cheese if you have multiple layers.
Grease the cheese on top with sour cream or mayonnaise and send it to the oven to bake at 160 degrees for 15 minutes.
A few minutes before the end, you can sprinkle the cheese on top with chopped garlic and broken chips.
Bon Appetit!
