"Marinara" sauce for the winter

I want to share with you a recipe for an amazing sauce, it will go well with any pasta and, of course, for pizza. So everyone needs to stock up on them for sure.

Ingredients for 4 cans of 0.5 l each:

2 kg of tomatoes
100 g tomato paste
2 onions (150-200 gr.)
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 h l. dry oregano
half a bunch of basil or 2 tsp. l. dry
2 cloves of garlic
red ground pepper on the tip of a knife
1.5-2.5 hours l. salt or to taste
1 hour l. Sahara
3 bay leaves
5 black peppercorns

How to cook:

1. Peel the tomatoes. You can scald with boiling water or do it using the microwave. Chop the tomatoes with a knife, or mince them.

2. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Fry in oil for about 1-2 minutes.

3. Add tomato paste, continue to fry for another 1-2 minutes.

4. Put the tomatoes on the onion, reduce heat and keep the mixture on the stove for exactly 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Next, salt and sugar, basil (fresh with sprigs, just sprinkle dry), oregano, bay leaf and red pepper and peas are added to the sauce.

6. Peel and crush the garlic with a knife (you can chop with a knife or through a press, but do not grate!). Its also in boiling sauce.

7. Simmer for about 3-5 minutes.

8. Remove bay leaves and basil sprigs from the prepared sauce, if fresh was used. Mix. If you do not like slices of tomatoes, then beat with a blender in mashed potatoes.

Boil and immediately spread over hot sterilized jars.

9. Tighten the jars with lids, turn over and wrap. Since there is no vinegar in the sauce, I recommend sterilizing the finished canning before rolling. For 5 minutes from the moment the water boils in the tank. And then wrap and cool.
