How to bake chicken legs with sauerkraut

A simple, tasty and aromatic dish! An interesting combination of products, the unique taste of chicken and cabbage will help diversify the daily menu.

How to bake chicken legs with sauerkraut

Ingredients:

  • 4 things. chicken legs
  • 1 kg sauerkraut
  • 100 g smoked pork belly
  • 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 0.5 tsp l. cumin or dill seed
  • 0.5 tsp l. mixture of peppers or other seasonings

How to cook:

1. Cut the smoked pork belly into pieces. It is desirable to be smaller.

2. Squeeze the sauerkraut from the juice, rinse if very sour, and then mix in a bowl with the prepared brisket.

3. Rinse the legs, dry with paper towels. Rub with oil and sprinkle evenly on 2 sides with chicken seasoning, pepper mixture or Provencal herbs, salt and ground pepper.

4. Put prepared sauerkraut with smoked brisket into a baking dish. Sprinkle with caraway seeds (dill) and put the legs in spices on top.

5. Put the form with chicken in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. You can cover the chicken dish with foil.

Bake for about 1 hour. During this time, the brisket will turn into delicious cracklings, soak the cabbage with smoke, and the legs will acquire an appetizing crust.
